Edge routers peer with IXs and upstreams. Backbone edges peer via loopback over dark fiber and can share routes with other edges in the same fabric. Public edges peer via their public IP (GRE/internet) and only get their own locally-assigned prefixes. Group connected edges into fabrics below.
